Supporting people living with dementia
As New Zealand’s largest provider of dementia care, the wellbeing of our residents is our reason for being, which is why we put the person first in everything we do. We believe it is important to embrace the individuality in every resident. By doing this we work with the person and their family to ensure residents get the right care and support for them.
We are also passionate about creating a dementia-friendly New Zealand, and are encouraging New Zealander’s to make a Dementia Commitment through our free, online, 15 minute course.
It explains what dementia is, how it affects people and how you may be able to reduce your risk of developing dementia. It is available to anyone in New Zealand.
At the end you are asked to make a Dementia Commitment – a small change you’ll make to help build a dementia-friendly NZ.
