A Day of Giving: Homes of Devonport Raises Funds for Dementia Auckland
Last Friday, the Homes of Devonport event welcomed the community into some of Devonport’s most beautiful homes – all in the name of raising funds for the local Auckland community.
Organised by the Devonport Rotary Club and with generous sponsorship from Bayleys Devonport, the event brought together visitors and local volunteers, all contributing to a great day out that was both inspirational and supportive.
A huge thank you to the 16 volunteers from our Dementia Auckland network who gave their time to ensure each home was looked after on the day. With 878 tickets sold – well above the organisers’ target – the event raised an incredible $20,000 for Dementia Auckland Charitable Trust.
These donations will help us continue to provide essential support and resources for individuals and whānau facing dementia, ensuring that they feel understood, connected, and empowered.
We’re deeply grateful to all who participated, from organisers to volunteers, and to everyone who bought a ticket. Your support makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve, allowing us to navigate the journey with them every step of the way. Ngā mihi – thank you for being part of a community that cares.
