World Alzheimer’s Month

Each September, people unite from all corners of the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persists around Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia.

With over 70,000 kiwis currently living with dementia, research has shown Alzheimer’s disease makes up 50-70% of all dementia cases. The number of people living with dementia is expected to triple globally by 2050.
