This Dementia Talk aims to help care partners navigate the complexities of holiday celebrations and trips, and to provide insights into managing the challenges, and enable planning for the holidays and travel. Join us for practical advice and tips to ensure the holiday season remains joyful for everyone.
Presenter Profile:
Winifred Henderson – Senior Dementia Educator, Dementia New Zealand (Northern)
Winifred is a Brain Health & Dementia Consultant/Educator. She has completed a Master of Dementia with distinction, which complements her post graduate qualification in Psychology.
She has had first-hand experience with dementia, supporting her Mum as primary care partner for 8 years, while she was living with Winifred and her husband. This experience ignited her passion and curiosity for the condition.
Winifred is passionate about supporting and educating people with dementia, their primary care partners, family and whanau, as well as healthcare professionals, to make the journey through dementia as smooth as possible.
Winifred is full of optimism and energy, which affects everyone, with whom she gets in contact, leaving them feeling more hopeful and supported for the future.
