Expired Fieldays | Mystery Creek, Hamilton
Your brain is your most vital organ, and its care is essential at any age.
Join us at Fieldays from June 12-15 in Mystery Creek, Hamilton, and discover how you can protect your rain and reduce the risk of dementia mate wareware.
The event will be held from Wednesday 12 June to Saturday 15 June at Mystery Creek, Hamilton. This is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event, with thousands expected to attend.
The joint Dementia NZ and Alzheimers NZ stand will be part of the Hauora Taiwhenua Health and Wellbeing Hub, supported by Mobile Health.
We’ll be alongside organisations like the Neurological Foundation and the Brain Health Research Centre – stop by and say kia ora!
Dementia NZ Chief Executive Cathy Cooney and Alzheimers NZ Chief Executive Catherine Hall say this is one way we can educate whānau in rural areas who may struggle to access information and support.
“People and whānau can really make a difference by looking after their brain health at any age. We’ll be busting the myths around dementia mate wareware and we’re looking forward to finding out how much people already know!”
Fieldays will be a great opportunity for people to learn how to take better care of their health and wellbeing.
There will be different health checks available in the wider hub to encourage people to take charge of their health (like blood pressure tests).
If you or anyone you know needs more support, reach out to our Dementia New Zealand network or your local Alzheimers organisation for support services.
