Expired Safety at Home
This Masterclass is for care partners and families of people with dementia, who are still living at home, either with partners/family or by themselves.
All the things to consider to enable the person with dementia to remain safe at home, and what may need to be changed to ensure that the person with dementia can remain living independently for as long as possible, while providing the support needed to make that happen.
This Masterclass will be recorded and sent to those who register post event.
Presenter Profile:
Winifred Henderson – Senior Dementia Educator, Dementia New Zealand (Northern)
Winifred is a Brain Health & Dementia Consultant/Educator. She has completed a Master of Dementia with distinction, which complements her post graduate qualification in Psychology.
She has had first-hand experience with dementia, supporting her Mum as primary care partner for 8 years, while she was living with Winifred and her husband. This experience ignited her passion and curiosity for the condition.
Winifred is passionate about supporting and educating people with dementia, their primary care partners, family and whanau, as well as healthcare professionals, to make the journey through dementia as smooth as possible.
Winifred is full of optimism and energy, which affects everyone, with whom she gets in contact, leaving them feeling more hopeful and supported for the future.
