There are plenty of ways to help us raise vital funds to support those who are affected by dementia. Where needed, our experienced team can provide support that will help make it an event to remember.

Hold your own event
Garage sales, bake sales and barbeque’s are easy and enjoyable ways to raise funds for the dementia-community and anyone can do it! Just gather clothing, kitchen items, furniture, collectables and other desirable items and set up shop in your garage or at a market. If you love getting busy in the kitchen, you could whip up a whole lot of cupcakes, cookies and slices and sell them for a couple of dollars each. If you prefer a good old barbeque then a sausage sizzle might be the way to go for you.

Take on a personal challenge
Need a reason to get active? Or perhaps you want to do something in memory of a friend or family member you lost to dementia? Why not set yourself a physical challenge and participate in a running, cycling, swimming or triathlon event! Get your friends and family to sponsor you to make a difference for people living with dementia.

Support us with a special occasion
Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or any celebration is an opportunity to do things differently.  Rather than giving or receiving gifts you can choose to support Dementia Hawkes Bay by getting your guests to make a donation instead.

Support us at your next conference or event
Large events are a great opportunity to raise funds and spread awareness about the support Dementia Waikato provides. We’ll support you at your event through a presentation about the work we do in your community.
