Our services are accessible to anyone with a Mate Wareware-Dementia diagnosis still residing in the community (in their own home), and to their family/ whanau, and care-partner. The main focus behind what we do at Dementia Canterbury is about supporting people to live well after a dementia diagnosis.
The main interventions for Mate Wareware-Dementia are in the social realm, therefore providing opportunities for clients to stay connected socially, and to participate in a range of cognitively stimulating activities in normalised environments in the community, is a major role of Dementia Canterbury.
